With pleasure we want to invite you to the online conference on the Craft of the Miller on 21 November 2024 at 4:00 pm CET. This conference will have the character of a workshop.

The topic of will be:

‘Managing Health & Safety Risks in your Mill.

Working on a mill has risks and every miller must know how to work safely. A lot has to do with safety awareness, precautionary measures and work according top safety protocols.

Jon Cook will give an introduction to highlight a number of key risks in a working mill, including hygiene, flour dust, vacuum equipment and fire risks. We will discuss good practice to manage these risks. 
Jippe Kreuning will explore how to work with a stone crane and how to operate it safely to lift a set of millstones.

We will organise breakout rooms and let people share experiences and best practices.
